Looking out my new window

Ok, I didn't think the prior post through... It's great to be able to understand what people around you are saying and especially being able to interact with them. I just sat between some annoying people at the gate.
On my way to the airport the taxi driver was listening to French stand-up, I was able to get a few words here and there but far from enough to get the jokes. At one point when he was laughing extra hard, he looked back at me to see if I was laughing with him, but my face was blank.
Now I'm in Copenhagen and I'm exited about being back. I want to get better at taking advantage of what the city has to offer and I'm exited about exploring Copenhagen with curious eyes.
I did fall head over heels in love with Paris. The beautiful city will always have a special place in my heart. I left with the feeling of already wanting to go back.
There are many things that are great about Copenhagen. I've been in love with this place. I hope and believe that I will again.

On my way back!

So far so good..

At the airport waiting to board the plane. This has been a quite stressful day. Started out good but then when I realized just how much stuff I had and there seamed to be much more room in my bags in my head. But I managed. And got them checked. Hope they'll make it to Cph.

I'll move in to my new place tomorrow - yeay!

Back to Copenhagen - same same but different, I guess!

One of the things I missed in Paris (ok, I'm technically still in Pairs but it doesn't feel like Paris) was to understand what people were saying and be able to talk to strangers. Waiting for the plane to CPH the gate is filled with Danes and Swedes. I find it quite annoying to understand everything to be honest..

J'ai 23 ans

Lots of laughs the past 24 hours. I had an amazing birthday with great people! But when I talked to Sunmi about saying goodbye I started crying...

It's easy to say see you later to the Danes and I believe myself when I say that I'll come visit to the Europeans. But Korea, China and Hong Kong is just so far away... That's why these goodbyes get more difficult.

Sunmi was so sweet when I was in tears and said - You crying means that you've had a good time here, so I'm happy about that. Cry more! It makes me happy :)

I've met so many amazing people - too many actually! I haven't spent as much time with them as I would have liked. Anyway - many of my friends from this exchange semester came and celebrated my birthday with me today. It was lovely. Lise and I baked kanelbullar and made Crêpe. Huge success!

After a glass of wine at a shabby but oh so funny bar in Montmartre I went home and read all the comments on my fb wall - then I started crying again! So happy to have so many wonderful friends <3

Easier said than done

Like most things in this country - closing your bank account is easier said than done. I get it they want to keep you as a customer. But hey! I'm leaving!

When I got my account the guy said that closing it would just be signing a single piece of paper - no problem. Yesterday I went to a bank office and they said - no, you can't do it here because you have to do it in the same office where you opened your account. But you can just send them a letter - no worries.
I decide to go to the bank office to be sure it gets done. I get there at 12 - stand in line for 30 min. The sweaty stressed overweight man looks in to the screen when he asks me what I want to do and then answers, while opening mail and taking care of paper work, that I need an appointment. I get an appointment the same day, but after their three hour lunch of course. They're closed between 13-16.

So... I'm on my way over there now - again. The plan to go to Musee d'Orsay today is kind of ruined. This proved to take much longer than anticipated. And I'm not even done yet! Wish me luck!

To be continued..

Wine in a cellar & Crêpe in the sun

Time goes by so quickly! I'm trying to get the most out of my last few days in Paris. Right in the middle of my not-wanting-to-leave-Paris thoughts e-mails from a dear friends pops into my mailbox.. Paris is beautiful, absolutely! I love being able to hang around in magnificent museums and get a crêpe anywhere, but without friends it gets lonely. I've met some amazing people here, but most of them are leaving now. Any place gets better in good company.
